Sefton Park Palm House Wedding Photography – Natalie & Rea; we first saw Sefton Park Palm House on a blog a couple of years ago, and it’s been on our bucket-list of venues ever since. When Natalie and Rea asked us to photograph their wedding in this unique and beautiful place, we got more than a few goosebumps.
On the morning of their wedding, we travelled into the centre of Liverpool to meet our brides and being preparing for the day. With a lot of laughs, a few nerves, and enough bubbly to sink a battleship, we were finally ready to get into the London wedding taxis and head out to Sefton Park. Our first view of the Palm House exceeded our expectations – it’s a huge feat of engineering, perfectly symmetrical, and looks exceedingly grand in the the beautifully kept gardens. It’s surrounded by a border of colourful plants and bushes and it’s own fence, so being within the boundary of the Palm House feels very private, even in a public space.
The actual space inside is awe inspiring – Natalie and Rea looked stunning under the beautiful diffused sunlight, and their emotional ceremony had us all reaching for the tissues. The space was then transformed for the wedding breakfast, and we took Natalie & Rea out for some portraits around the grounds surrounding the Palm House. It was beautifully serene and these two had a few moments together before we headed back in to the party.
At night, the palm house really comes alive. With a little bit of creative lighting, we captured the large-scale architecture and the intimate party atmosphere in one. We took Natalie & Rea out for a couple more portraits in the fading light, before saying goodbye to this wonderful place.
It was such a pleasure to be involved with your wedding day, and we can’t imagine a more fitting setting than Sefton Park Palm House. Enjoy the blog!
